Idleon has hundreds of different talents to learn and understand due to dozens of different classes and subclasses, but there are also dozens of special Star Talents that are the same for all classes.
Many of these Star Talents provide huge game changing bonuses but many of them can’t be automatically unlocked, instead they must be purchased or unlocked by other means, which is why it’s important to know where and how to get them.
This guide will also provide general descriptions and priority ratings for each talent, which should give you a good idea which talents are crucial to unlock and level up as soon as possible.
Star Talent Sources and Priorities
Idleon has around 50 Star Talents and they can be found from so many different places that it’s impossible to find all of them without some help, so we gathered them all in to a single table below.
We decided to give a generic rating to each talent according to their general usefulness, but you should still aim to acquire all the Star Talents as you will find uses for most of them as you keep playing.

Some of the talents are very tough to rate as they might be good for some aspects but not so good for others. Still, you should get the general picture and you will learn which talents you might need as you try to accomplish different goals across your characters.
You might notice that a lot of the talents really drop off exponentially after level 100 or so, making it a very viable strategy to not max out all the best talents at first, if you are still in the early game without many Star Talent points.
However, once you reach the point where you have more useful talents than talent points, check out the next section to find out how to get all the extra star talent points possible.
How to get more Star Talent Points
The main obvious way to get more Start Talent points is by leveling up your character, which will grant a single point per level.
However, Idleon has dozens of other ways to get hundreds of Start Talent points which will let you max out some of those high-cap talents.
The main way to get tons of points is through the beginner talent that every class starts with, the Star Player talent. It can be found at the top row of the first talent page.

A similar talent is the Stonks! Star Talent which gives you an extra 18 talent points when you level it to 30. Check it out in the Star Talent table if you missed it!
Next up are Achievements which can be accessed through the button in the top left of the Tasks view. There are 3 important achievements that will give you a whopping 50 talent points.

Once you reach World 2 and find the Deepwater Docks map, you can buy a set of Bribes from the Trash Island (you should definitely buy the New Bribes before the Star Book).
One of these new Bribes is called Star Scraper and buying it will grant you 33 Star Talent points, so it’s definitely an awesome upgrade.
In the same docks you can also access the Fractal Island through the Island Expeditions, where you must spend time AFK to earn rewards.
The 6th reward is +100 Star Talent points, but it requires 20,000 hours of basically wasted AFK gains, so it is debatable if this is worth the effort.
Speaking of World 2, Alchemy provides us with a Sigil that grants more Star Talent points as well.
By default you will get +10 points and when upgraded you get a whopping +25 Star Talent points. Sigils take a long time to level up but it happens passively in the background so it’s not a big deal.
Another bonus from World 2 is actually a stamp which lets you gain Star Talent points by upgrading it with Twisty Leaves. You can get this stamp by completing the second quest from Fishpaste97.

Next up we have 2 cards which provide Star Talent points. Thankfully both of them are passive cards so you don’t need to equip them separately, but sadly only one of them is easy to grind to 6 stars (the Soda Can Card).

The Nightmare Efaunt card (also known as Gilded Efaunt) will take quite a while to max out as it costs 40 keys to fight him once and the 6 Star Card requires over 5,000 card drops.
Another less known bonus gives you a few extra points and that is the Family Bonus from your highest level Wizard class.
The amount of points will increase gradually by leveling up your Wizard. If you have multiple, it will only count your highest level one.
Guilds also happen to increase your Star Talent points, as the Star Dazzle guild bonus will give you +60 points when maxed out at level 50.
Once you reach World 4, breeding pets allows you to place Shiny Pets into the fence yard to gain various passive bonuses. One of those pets is the Cryosnake and it gives more Star Talent points as it levels up.

You should be able to reach level 6 or 7 reasonably fast, giving you a total of 12-14 points.
Finally, if you have a Journeyman class, he can benefit from their Supernova Player talent which works the same way as the normal Star Player talent that every other class has.
How to Reset Start Talent Points
Now that you know how to get all those awesome Star Talents and tons of points to level them up, you might want to start allocating those points from scratch if you had some misplaced, or if you need to make a new Skilling build for example.
In order to do that, you need to get a Star Talent Reset Potion.
Thankfully it is very easy to craft once you reach World 2 and find the recipe.
There are two monsters that can drop the recipe for this potion but sadly both of them are bosses, so they take a bit more effort to grind for the drop. The drop chance is pretty generous though.

Note that Biggie Hours has the same chance to drop a Skullfish Pendant Recipe, so don’t be fooled if he drops the “wrong” one.

Once you managed to craft one, just use it like any other consumable and your Star Talent points will be refunded (any normal talents are not reset).
This only works on the current character, so if you want to reset your star talents on multiple characters, you must craft more potions.
